Everyone listening will inevitably have to speak publicly in front of an audience. The size of the audience or the setting doesn’t really matter because all of the same principles apply. You still have to prepare for your talk and you still have to deliver it in a way which will capture the attention of the audience and more importantly, convey the information or content that you are speaking about and also it needs to be communicated in a way in which it will be memorable and sticky. I read a quote recently that goes something like this: “The incredible illusion we have about communication is that it actually took place.” This can be very frustrating, especially for someone who speaks publicly for a living. These six mistakes to avoid that I will be sharing with you in this podcast will hopefully make your talk stickier and more memorable. If you have made any of these mistakes, then you are in good company because I have certainly been guilty of this entire list. The greatest compliment and encouragement I could receive from you is if you would share this podcast with your friends and family and on social media.
