I quit. My resignation is final. There is not much that you can do about it. There is nothing you can say that will make me rescind my decision. I want to officially resign from a job that I most likely will never be successful at. I have no idea how I got to doing it in the first place. I should have known better. Why spend your entire life doing something that does not benefit people or bring glory to God? Honestly, I resigned a long time ago but wanted to tell you today, about my decision. I am really done this time. Yes, for me – this is the end. I have had enough. Please do not be disappointed if you no longer see me doing the following things: Continue Reading…

It is a dangerous position we assume when we constantly want to help the weak and needy but never confess that we too are actually weak and in need of help.
If you are going to go through life without passion of excitement, just waiting for God to reveal to you His big plan for your life, it will never happen.
Do with passion and excitement that which you are already involved in for His glory – sufficient are the worries of today – let God take care of tomorrow, and the next day.
It has been a full two days since I landed in Moscow, Russia. The one thought that I do have is that Russia is exactly how I expected it to be.
Here are some initial thoughts after less than half a week in Moscow, Russia: Continue Reading…
Twenty years ago, my family and I landed in JFK airport in New York. It was the beginning of an exciting new journey for all seven of us. Much has happened since then. God has been gracious to us – every single day after stepping upon American soil.
For the first time in twenty years, I had the phenomenal chance to visit again this wonderful city along with my beautiful wife. I want to share ten initial thoughts about the city that never sleeps. A short photo essay will follow as well: Continue Reading…

This past Monday, I published a post entitled: How To Set Yourself Up For A Successful 2012. It was a rather lengthy post, capping out at 2194 words. With the deluge of information that we receive on a daily basis, I am afraid that it was not in a “bite-size” format for proper digestion.
So here is my solution. I am so passionate about sharing the things I included in the original post, that I want to re-visit each item. But — I am going to allocate each item a specific post. These posts will be short, bite-size, small enough for proper digestion, one day at a time. If you want to read the whole post through in one sitting, click here to read it. I am excited to share with you today how you can set realistic goals for yourself. Goals that you will actually accomplish. Continue Reading…
Six years ago my current pastor lamented about the fact that soon, paper would be replaced with pixels and people who preach would rely on flat panel tablets. I do not think he nor many others predicted that the “soon” would come to reality so quickly.
Ever since I preached my first sermon in my early teen years, I have used paper. I tucked my sermon into my bible and used this method for many years. This was the case until the iPad came to light. Continue Reading…
This past Sunday, our church held a Harvest Celebration – also known as “Жатва.” It was a time in which we gave thanks to God and His Son Jesus Christ for the abundant grace that is so lavishly bestowed upon us. Жатва is actually one of those traditions in the Russian church that I do not mind at all.
In fact, I wish that it will continue for the next generation. There are a few segments that are usually included within this celebration. First, there is a celebration service in which all the glory goes to God for the abundant provision that we are able to have. Second comes a huge celebratory meal which is not at all uncommon for Russian folks. This year at our church, Continue Reading…
Writing and putting out content can sometimes be absolutely exhilarating. At other times, it can be very lonely and frustrating. The creative process of writing takes time and energy. The arbitrary thing is that my interest level behind a topic does not always line up with your interest level as the reader.
But, when the content of a post matches up with and piques the interest of the reader, it becomes explosively exciting.
First, because you as the reader are benefited greatly by whatever content is put out here.
Second, because I am elated to see that the content being put out here did not fall on deaf ears but actually found a home in your heart.
Either way, this thrill-seeking of putting out fresh content which not only challenges me but also stretches your thinking — is far too exciting not to continue. Continue Reading…
This past Sunday night, I set out to do the most audacious thing I have ever attempted in the history of this blog. My reason for doing this was first and foremost to provide a huge benefit to you personally. This is why this blog exists and this is why I write — it is my primary motivation. I sincerely appreciate you as the reader and I am truly excited about every single interaction that we have.
I invited you to The Launch Of Your New Life. This was an event that would change your life, forever. One of the invited guests said that this was an extremely bold claim on my part. I did not disagree but rather affirmed this statement. I also said that this claim was not ungrounded. What transpired since this post went live Monday at 3:00am was monumentally mind-blowing. Last weekend, over two hundred young people of Slavic descent, gathered together in SoCal for the Annual Beach Party & Youth Service. This year, our church was the host for the service on Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting many new people and reconnecting with old friends. As I greeted the young people coming in, I was encouraged to see everyone in great spirits, ready for corporate worship.
The service lasted for about three hours which is not uncommon. Most people present were fairly conditioned for elongated gatherings due to their heritage. Overall, it was a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, Spirit-led time of fellowship.
The whole service was absolutely centered on giving glory to God. We witnessed how His glorious gospel moved powerfully in the lives of those who have put their faith in Jesus the Christ. Everyone who participated encouraged the listeners to love Jesus and pursue Him passionately. I wanted to share with you eight aspects of the service that made a huge impact for me personally: Continue Reading…
