i agree, some people care too much, and im 99% sure that if i brought a russian non-believer or american non-believer who dressed the way they are, they would be accused & judged by church staff & people & would be “forced to change, or leave” the “house of God” when really, God doesnt want you to change then come to him because thats like being a hypocrite (“changing from your sinful, secular world mode to your humble, modest holy spiritual mode”), you just come to him, he’ll take you as you are, & he’ll clean you from all sin & make you whole again, etc! 🙂 nobody has to agree with my point to be friends with me.

    1. There you go, preach it brother!

DJ Vadim- God doesn’t want you to change your clothes when you don’t belong to Him. God wants to change your heart. Once you belong to Him, I guarantee, nobody will force you out of the church OR force you to change as Holy Spirit will work in you heart and HE will make the change in you.

^ yeah totally agree. most importantly God wants to change your heart, he’ll take you as you are, when you come to him in whatever you wear & will make you new, clean your heart out..if you let him in. I believe when God’s changing your heart it’s not a destination, it’s a life long process. Because after you repent, get baptized , be a new believer, you’re spiritually weak so your heart might give in when you get tempted (that’s one of the hardest battles) so it’s better to seek help, be connected to a church, go to bible study. If you don’t then you’ll likely fall deep in a matter of time & your heart will be dirty where it once was, so your heart may need to be changed again more than once maybe, & cleaned out. Some people’s hearts changes from once bad to clean, then bad again when they don’t surrender to God…& then it comes down to that verse where it says: every knee will now down & every tongue will confess… So in the end everyone will admit jesus is king..if i said that correctly

but i was saying thats how some people feel like they have to change clothes in order to be welcomed in the church for God to be welcomed into their heart and so the holy spirit can work in them, even if they dont belong to him, don’t believe in him, we should still invite non-believers, athiests, people who dont believe in him, God is still here to perform miracles, our work isnt finished, we got people to welcome into our churches & he has miracles to perform, & work in people. our God isn’t limited, he so loved the world!

yeah, i wasnt sure if that comment made sense so i tried to remove it, but somewhere in a sermon you’re talking about the clothes doing the talking -presenting the message, and not our heart, our mouth, we can dress in one way but the message that comes out of our mouth can be different vice-versa. some will dress totally opposite for what they preach. 🙂

Pants aren’t appropriate for women to wear to the Slavic church, however skin tight skirts accompanied by sexy leopard heals, and skin tight shirts that leave little for the imagination, are in fact appropriate. I’ve always found it interesting that nearly every American I’ve known who has visited a Slavic church has said “there women are permitted to dress like that at church”?

    Ironic

    1. Hi, thank you for your comment – did you have a chance to listen to the episode?

  4. Why are questions regarding modesty always pertaining to women? Why isn’t the issue being addressed to guys as well?
