Fuel For Life 001: Seven Ways to See If Your Words Help Or Hurt Other People

I am so excited to start my very first podcast and can’t wait until we grow in our faith and move forward in our life. Again, thank you so much for listening, I truly appreciate it.

In this episode of The Fuel For Life Podcast, I talk about the Seven Ways To See If Your Words Help Or Hurt Other People. Words are very powerful. It’s not what we say, but rather how we say it. We can either build people up with words or tear down others with our words. I explain how we can use our words wisely, in this episode of Fuel For Life.

Summary Of Episode:

  • Words are very powerful. We can either build people up with words or tear down others, with our words.
  • We know that Faith comes by hearing – the Word of God
  • God creates through His Word
  • God regenerates through His Word
  • Jesus Christ is the incarnate, eternal Word of God
  • We live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord
  • The gospel is first of all news that is conveyed in words.
  • When all else passes away, the Word of God will remain.

So how can we tell if the words we use, help or hurt other people:

    1. Do the words you say bring about peace or chaos?
    2. Are you known more for what you are against or what you are for?
    3. Do you encourage and build up other people with your words?
    4. Is your communication healthy in the principal relationships in your life?
    5. Do you talk with others to develop relationship with them or do you speak with other people to solve a problem or assist with a crisis?
    6. Do you speak humble words of confession and repentance when you are in the wrong?
    7. Do your words reflect a willingness to serve others or do you demand that others serve you?

  3. Great topic for your 1st podcast. It sounded great, I’m looking forward to hearing your words more often now! How often do you think you will be producing podcasts?

    1. Thank you so much Caleb – this really means a lot to me coming from someone who has already completed ten episodes! I think just like with blogging, I will have to find my sweet spot in terms of frequency – do you have any suggestions for me?

  4. Hey Bogdan I recently made this blog can youo help me out? Thanks. BTW I really like your Blog.

  5. Great podcast, Bogdan! Good topic, consise, eloquent speech. I learned a lot, even though the topic is not new.
Listening is so much more convenient for me than reading. While I listen I can still wash dishes, do the laundry, drive, iron clothes, sweep the floor (you get the picture :)).
By subscribing to the podcast, I will get it downloaded on regular basis without any cost or efforts. Just one click away.
My wish to you is to be consistent. You have taken a great responsibility. So, stay near that microphone and get your thoughts recorded as often as possible.
One other comment – consider reaching even greater population – the Russian-only speakers. You are as eloquent in Russian as you are in English. Just think about it.

    1. Hi Mariya,

Thank you so much for the encouragement and the tips! I will have to consider doing an exclusively Russian episode one of these days! Thank you for listening and subscribing πŸ™‚

  6. Bogdan, congrats on the first one! It is so refreshing tuning into a daily word that is insightful enough to learn from, while at the same time very practical to apply to daily life. Sometimes it’s really the smallest adjustments implemented in our communication that makes the most differnce. It was helpful for me to see this applied to my own walk with The Lord and how I am perceived by those around me with my words. With the topical theme and numerically organized script, this is success in its beginnings! Looking forward to tune in next time πŸ™‚
